Alexander Skancke is a Berlin-based DJ and producer originally from Norway who has become a distinct voice in the international underground. Active since 2006, he has released more than 30 records and performed worldwide, earning recognition for his originality, dedication, and narrative-driven DJ sets.
His years at Berlin’s iconic Bikini Waxx Records sharpened his ear and reinforced his passion for vinyl and analog production, shaping a sound that is playful, surprising, and emotionally resonant while rooted in house and techno traditions.
In 2019, Skancke launched Quirk, his record label and event series, which has quickly established itself as a platform for bold, forward-thinking club music. A resident at Hoppetosse, he has also played at Berghain / Panorama Bar and Robert Johnson, steadily building a reputation as one of the underground’s most compelling and forward-looking artists.
