| 01.09.2010 | Margaret Dygas announcing Album "How Do You Do" ‘How Do You Do’ was inspired by the book ‘Peoplewatching’, a guide to body language, by Britishzoologist Desmond Morris. The book was a leaving present from her best friend in England and served as a companion during her first years in Berlin up to the present. The title, an old English greeting, is welcoming but also has a double meaning. The book describes human differences and similarities, cultural and inborn, as well as general human habits. Margaret found herself returning to it again and again, as she grappled with new experiences and relationships. As a controversial writer, Morris’ insights into human nature may not be a rule book, but somehow comforting in cold Berlin winters. Each track is based on different emotions, each relating to a chapter or idea from the book, that come together as one story. Each title is accompanied by a quote, that illuminates the relationship between the music and book. The CD comes with a 36 page booklet of Margaret’s own photographs, taken over the same period as the album, which capture moments and memories.
